App blocker not working
App blocker needs a development or production native build; Expo Go is not enough.
iOS requires Screen Time / Family Controls; Android requires Usage access and Overlay.
In the app
Settings → Focus tools → App blocker
Steps
- 1
Confirm build type
Use a development or store native build, not Expo Go.
- 2
Set a mode other than Off
Choose During focus, Always on, or Bedtime.
- 3
Select apps
Add apps via Search installed apps or Common distractions and confirm Selected count.
- 4
Test During focus
If mode is During focus, start a Focus session with Start focus and open a blocked app to see That app is shielded.
Tips
- App blocker is not Pro-locked.
- Bedtime window often defaults near 23:00-07:00 and can sync from sleep prefs.
