Permissions explained
Elovia asks for notifications, camera, location, motion, photos, and health connections only when a feature needs them.
You can still use many tools without every permission; some features simply run with reduced capability.

System prompts · Settings → Connected Health · Move · Scanner · App blocker
Permission map
| Option | Detail |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Morning Brief, Sleep, Habits, Workouts, Meals, and Tracking Reminders. Sleep can still track without alarm if notifications are denied. |

| Location | Move trails and GPS tracking. When In Use for active sessions; Always for background tracking on a proper native/dev build. |
| Motion | Used by Move when available for activity sensing. |
| Photos | Saving Move complete photos and journal or Sensei attachments. |
| Apple Health / WHOOP | Connected Health metrics on Home insights and Progress. Connect from Settings. |
| Screen Time / Usage access | Required for App blocker (Focus shield). Development build required; not Expo Go. |
| Face ID / Fingerprint / Passcode | Optional Journal lock: Secure with method, Not now, Unlock with method. |
Tips
- Offline Move still tracks GPS walk/run/hike even if map tiles are blank.
- App blocker needs a development or production native build plus Screen Time (iOS) or Usage access and Overlay (Android).
